Event Booking - Terms & Conditions
General terms and conditions for online training provided by Penny Parks Training Ltd (PPT)
updated April 2023.
The Events provided by PPT are based on the Advanced Specialist Psychotherapeutic Skills of Parks Inner Child Therapy (PICT) and are designed for either students or practicing professionals working in the field of mental health. The nature of the content of the Events touches on sensitive issues, particularly childhood abuse and are not designed for access by the general public. It is therefore the responsibility of each participant to ensure that they are suitably qualified and able to handle such issues and that they have their own appropriate support network in place to assist with any issues that may arise from participation in these events (e.g. supervisors, peer groups, etc). PPT accepts no liability for any issues arising from the content covered and discussed in these Events.
1. Event Booking
- All bookings are to be made and paid for online prior to the start of each Training Event.
- PPT will provide the Participant the appropriate connection details by email on completion of the booking process to enable them to participate in the Event at the scheduled date and time as confirmation of the Participant’s order.
- The details of how to access and join the event are for the registered participant only and may not be shared with third parties. Bookings are not transferable.
- The Participant consents to PPT monitoring their access to the Training Event, including the number of computers and their IP addresses to ensure that the Event access details have not been distributed beyond those Participants.
- It is the responsibility of the Participant to ensure that they are able to connect to the Event prior to the Event Date. Failure of the Participant to connect to the event will not qualify them for a refund of any kind.
2. Training Materials and Copyright
- Any additional training Materials such as event notes will be made available in electronic form online 14 days prior to the start of the Event and will remain available up to 14 days after the event. The participant will be required to login to their online account to access these additional materials.
- All rights, title, and interest (including all copyrights and other intellectual property rights) in the material and information provided (in both print and machine-readable forms) belong to PPT or its third party suppliers. The Participant acquires no ownership of copyright or other intellectual property rights or proprietary interest in the Services, or copies thereof.
- Except as specifically provided herein, the Participant may not use the Material or Content provided and presented in any fashion that infringes the copyright or proprietary interests therein.
- Participants are expressly forbidden to record the event on any media, unless permission has been specifically granted in writing by PPT prior to the Event Date.
- The Event content is provided for informational purposes only and does not confer any right or authority for the Participant to use the material on clients or to represent themselves as PICT trained in any capacity.
3. Cancellation
- All reasonable efforts will be made to ensure that the Training Event takes place on the advertised date and time. In the event that the Training Event does not take place, an alternative date/time will be scheduled where possible. PPT reserves the right to substitute speakers and or where events beyond its reasonable control prevent speakers from appearing. In the event of cancellation of the event by PPT, the Participants will be entitled to a full refund of the booking fee only and not for any other losses the Participant may incur arising from this cancellation.
- In the event of technical issues interrupting and terminating the event prematurely, participants will be provided with the option of transferring their booking free of charge to a replacement event.
- Cancellation of a booking. Participants who have purchased access to a Training Event may cancel their booking, on the condition that they do so in writing to Events@pennyparkstraining.com at least 3 working days prior to the Event. Where this condition is met, a refund for the original price paid for the event will be issued, less £15 administration fee. Cancellations after the 3 working day deadline will not be eligible for a refund.
- Any URL, Password and ID number issued by us to an Participant is personal and confidential to that Participant. If PPT suspects that any URL, Password or ID is being used by an unauthorised party or a different Participant to the person to whom it was issued, that URL, Password and ID may be cancelled.
4. Event Protocols
- Participants are required to ensure that they are on mute and to not interrupt the session until the designated Question & Answer part of the event, and to only “unmute” when they are asking a question or responding to an answer provided by the presenters.
- In order to ask a question the participants will be required to signal that they have a question by using the “Raise Hand” facility.
